The Biblical Prophecies about

The Fall of New York City

6. The “Sept. 11” and the Final “Fall of Babylon”

After the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, many Christians and scholars have recognized the event related to the prophecy of the Fall of Babylon in the Book of Revelation, but that's only half the story. There were actually two events prophesied in the Book of Revelation, the Warning of the Fall of Babylon in Revelation 14:6 and the full fulfillment of the Fall of Babylon in Chapter 17 & 18 of the Book of Revelation.

1) The Prophecies of the “Sept. 11”

The "September 11" was not the full course of the Fall of Babylon prophesied in Chapter 17 and 18 of the Book of Revelation, but only the warning of the Fall of Babylon prophesied in Revelation 14:8.

In Chapter 14 of the Book of Revelation, John saw three angels flying in the midair.

This indicated that the warning of the Fall of Babylon would come at the same time the New Revelation of the Word of God, the "Eternal Gospel" for "every nation, tribe, language and people" (Revelation 14:6), would be revealed. This happened after the “Man Child” who was prophesied in Revelation 12:5 was spiritual awakened in the year 2000 at the beginning of the New Millennium.

Although the "September 11" was not the Full fulfillment of the prophecy of the "Fall of Babylon", it did fulfill some prophecies regarding the Fall of Babylon:

That was exactly what happened to the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. In a little over one hour after the attack, the twin towers collapsed with huge smoke rising to the sky. All the leaders in the world saw it instantly through satellite broadcasting, and the merchants who relied on trading in the World Trade Center and the sea captains who made a living through the port of New York all saw the twin towers of the World Trade Center were brought to ruin in one hour, just like what was prophesied in the Bible nineteen hundred years ago.

However, out of the mercy of God, this time, only the symbol of the great city of Babylon, the World Trade Center, was brought to ruin, instead of the whole city. This was just the warning and partial fulfillment of this prophecy. I hope the people of New York can turn their hearts to God and listen to the Word of God to avoid any more catastrophes.

There is one thing I want to clarify here. Although this disaster was prophesied in the Bible nineteen hundred years ago, it did not make the terrorist attack legitimate. The terrorist attack on civilians is a horrible sin, and those terrorists who killed the civilians will be punished by God with no exception. In the Old Testament, when Israelites turned their backs to God and fell into the sins of idolatry and promiscuity, God also punished them by simply taking his blessing away and allowing the Babylonian armies invade the kingdom of Judah.

Those Babylonians were no saints. They invaded the kingdom of Judah and destroyed the city of Jerusalem. They even destroyed the temple of God and took away people’s donation to God. In the end, they also received the judgment from God as Babylon was totally destroyed and left deserted in the last two thousand years. This time, these terrorists who attacked the New York City would also face the same judgment of God, and those governments who hosted them or support them, like the Taliban Government in Afghanistan, would also share the punishment from God.

For anyone who kills with the sword, with the sword he will be killed.” (Revelation 13:10) This is the law of judgment from God.

2) The Timing Prophesied in 1 Thessalonians 5:1-3

In the Bible, St. Paul also specifically mentioned the timing of the disaster. “Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, ‘Peace and safety,’ destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.” (1 Thessalonians 5:1-3)

September 11, 2001, was originally set by the United Nations as the International Day of Peace before the disaster happened. On September 11, 2001, the Secretary-General of the United Nations gave a message on the occasion of the International Day of Peace. Unfortunately, this message for peace never mentioned the blessing of God, not even once. And peace can never be achieved without the blessing of God. The timing of the “Sept. 11” was the perfect fulfillment of this prophecy in 1 Thessalonians 5:1-3.

Both the description and the timing of the disaster on September 11 matched the prophecies in the Bible. However, this was not the full fulfillment of the prophecy of the Fall of Babylon as the collapse of the twin towers was only a symbol of the city. This was just the warning of the “Fall of Babylon” in Revelation 14:8. There would be an even greater disaster for New York City as the full fulfillment of the prophecy of the “Fall of Babylon”, if people of New York don’t repent and turn their hearts to God.

3) The Timing of the War in Iraq and the Rising of ISIS

In between the warning of the Fall of Babylon in Revelation 14:8 and the full fulfillment of the Fall of Babylon in Revelation 17 & 18, there are Seven Bowls of God’s Wrath in Revelation 16. And the Sixth Bowl of God’s Wrath is the War in Iraq and the rising of ISIS in the Middle East as decoded in the last chapter of this book.

These prophecies have been fulfilled in the same chronological order as they were prophesied in the Book of Revelation. Therefore, after the War in Iraq and the rising of ISIS, the next disaster will be the full fulfillment of the Fall of Babylon, which would be much greater than the “Sept. 11” prophesied in Revelation 14:8.

Here is the time table on the fulfillment of these prophecies in the Book of Revelation:

The Prophecies

The Fulfillment

Revelation 14:8 - The Warning of the "Fall of Babylon"

"September 11" in 2001

Revelation 16:12 - The Euphrates River dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.

The US and its allies entered Iraq from the East (Kuwait) in 2003 after the Embargo of Iraq (1990-2003)

Revelation 16:13-16 - The coming of the Evil Spirits to gather the kings of the world for the "War of Armageddon".

The rising of ISIS drew all the major powers into the Middle East for the final showdown of "Armageddon". (2013-now)

Revelation 17 & 18 - The Fall of Babylon

The Pandemic of Covid 19 Coronavirus and the Riots after the death of George Floyd

4) The Full "Fall of Babylon"

Now, as the War in Iraq was ended and ISIS was defeated, the Full Fulfillment of the “Fall of Babylon” has come. The Pandemic of Covid-19 Coronavirus and the riots after the death of George Floyd were just part of the Full Fulfillment of the “Fall of Babylon”.

Due to the lack of experience in dealing with this new lethal Coronavirus and also the mismanagement by the local government, New York City suffered the highest death rate in the nation. The Covid-19 Coronavirus caused over 23,000 deaths in New York City, and the number is still rising, far more than the 2,977 casualties of the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001.

After the death of George Floyd in May 2020, there were many protests against racial discrimination and policy brutality, which were justified. But, unfortunately, those peaceful protests at the beginning often turned into riots, looting, arson and destroying the public and private properties in the end. They have caused huge damages to the city and businesses in the city.

The main problem of New York City is that the city is currently run by some extreme leftists to implement socialist ideology in the city. They don’t know the history of Socialism and Communism, which was created by Karl Marx under the influence of Satan. In the last century, over a hundred million people were persecuted or even killed in those former Socialist/Communist countries, and most people fell into poverty except some rulers of the socialist government, just like what happened in Venezuela. If the mayor, city councils and the congress of New York City don’t learn the lesson from history, they will lead New York City to the major disaster prophesied in the Bible’s Book of Revelation.

During this period of Coronavirus Pandemic and the riots, the following prophecies of the Fall of Babylon were fulfilled:

This prophesied that the plague of Coronavirus would cause many deaths and mourning among the people and city would be set on fire by the riots.

  • Woe! Woe! O great city, dressed in fine linen, purple and scarlet, and glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls! In one hour such great wealth has been brought to ruin!’ (Revelation 18:16-17)

This prophecy was fulfilled as those famous department stores and luxury stores, like Macy’s, Bloomingdale's, Channel, Rolex, etc... were looted by the rioters, and in one hour such great wealth has been brought to ruin!

  • The music of harpists and musicians, pipers and trumpeters, will never be heard in you again. No worker of any trade will ever be found in you again. The sound of a millstone will never be heard in you again.” (Revelation 18:22)

These things happened during the lock-down period of Coronavirus as most businesses and Broadway music shows were shut down due to the Coronavirus.

Currently, because of the political correctness and inability of city government, New York City’s crime rate increased dramatically while the police forces were restricted from exercising their right to enforce the law. Due to the concern about Covid-19 Coronavirus and lawless anarchy of New York City, many people and businesses fled New York City, which caused large deficit of tax revenue for the city. If this trend is not stopped, New York City will fall from boom to bust, just like what happened to Detroit in the last century.

When the Spirit of Babylon the Great took over the city, people would fell into her trap and drink “the maddening wine of her adulteries” and commit the sins of sexual immorality and blasphemy. This will eventually lead to the Catastrophe of the Fall of Babylon.

Therefore, at the beginning of Chapter 18 of the Book of Revelation, God sent an angel to give the warning on the judgment of Babylon the Great:

“‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!’
She has become a home for demons
and a haunt for every impure spirit,
a haunt for every and detestable bird.
For all the nations have drunk
the maddening wine of her adulteries.
The kings of the earth committed adultery with her,
and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries
.”

Then I heard another voice from heaven say:

“‘Come out of her, my people,’
so that you will not share in her sins,
    so that you will not receive any of her plagues;
for her sins are piled up to heaven,
and God has remembered her crimes.
Give back to her as she has given;
pay her back double for what she has done.
Pour her a double portion from her own cup.
Give her as much torment and grief
as the glory and luxury she gave herself.
In her heart she boasts,
    ‘I sit enthroned as queen.
I am not a widow;
    I will never mourn.’
Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her:
    death, mourning and famine.
She will be consumed by fire,
for mighty is the Lord God who judges her
.” (Revelation 18:2-8)

Now, many prophecies about the Fall of Babylon were fulfilled during the disasters of “September 11”, the Pandemic of Coronavirus and the Riot of New York City, and God also gave a specific warning to call people out of Babylon the Great before the judgment comes. It’s up to the people in New York City to determine whether they want to leave the city to avoid the disaster or to make the change to save the city from the prophesied catastrophe.

The good news is: The Son of Man for the “Second Coming” is here now to save the city with the New Revelation of God for the New Millennium. If people still want to save New York City, here are some changes that need to make.
